Aboriginal Metaphysical consists of contemplations in 3 sequences which manifest as Lo-Fi indigenous retro—futurism, a way of expressing modern day thoughts & feelings on intergenerational trauma and coming to a place of solace by using technology, old or new in creative ways which allow our heart to become full, or empty of what we no longer need.

Part one deals with Socrates’ idea of a ’Form of the Good’, which is the essence of good in itself, it is so purely good that it is a good unto itself simply by existing. Part one is rich with images of landscape and animals of Haida Gwaii, colourful, full with sound and considerate thought, happily marrying the philosophy of ancient Greece with ancient Haida ways of understanding.

Part two is a false representation of the Haida people through American TV programming in the 70’s, I consider it a racial stereotype, poorly reconstructed, diverting completely from the original story using art which seems vaguely native — Therefore l have reclaimed this story and turned it into a music video.

Part three addresses the globalization and commodification of nature as resources on the world market. We have lived as oppressed people, hurting with the Earth which has become a clear-cut in order to reach this point in the evolution of civilization. We stand now before industry, protecting land which no longer belongs to us, from those who took it away without understanding how to properly live with it.

Aboriginal Metaphysical is about finding salvation through various modes of expression which lay dormant within us until we surrender to them, embodying the storyteller, the poet, the singer or the shapeshifter. l have taken into consideration that aboriginal is not a word taken kindly by various groups as it might mean “not original”. Upon further exploration l have taken it to mean “Away from the origin or body” in regards to our spirit, being that of the land, air and sea — we are comprised of our environment and so we treat it as we treat ourselves. Aboriginal Metaphysical is my thesis.

::Note::  ... it takes time ... freeing myself from duties ... talking about the human spirit ... wounds are deep ... to have so much experience but lack focused purpose ... to feely deeply but beginning to wonder ... the truth is cold like the universe ... so you request your fate ...alone i am free from contradictions, confinements and obligations ... time to quietly forge, to make something strong  or new requires a special courage and you must have some other value ...
figure it out ... sometimes by giving up yourself you end up getting more than you gave ... who looks outside dreams & who looks inside awakes ... need to be discerning to contribute in a way that erases distinctive judgments sustaining viewpoints that nurture.
